How much space is required to set up the photo booth?
The booth itself is about 2’ wide. We recommend a 5’x5’ space with no backdrop, and 8’ x 8’ with a backdrop so that your guests have space to gather in front of the booth
Do I need a backdrop?
Many of our clients are happy using the booth without a backdrop. This saves space in smaller venues such as private residences.
If you are tight on space but really want a backdrop, consider adding our magic background package. This uses artificial intelligence to replace the background in all still photos!
How do guests get their images and videos?
Guests can choose text, email, or QR code to access their session images.
How do I see all of my guest sessions?
Once you return the booth, you’ll receive a link to the gallery as well as a link to download all session photos at once. The link to your gallery can also be shared with guests.
Do I need to plug-in the photo booth?
No! This is an important consideration if you are looking at our competitors, since power cords can be tripping hazards. If you are setting up the booth against a wall with no backdrop then you can plug the booth in, but otherwise we recommend using the power packs included in the rental.
Do I need to connect the photobooth to wifi?
No! Our rentals are enabled with cellular service, so unlike most of our competitors, setting up wifi at the venue or renting an additional hotspot is unnecessary. Guests should receive texts or emails immediately after their session.
If there happens to be poor cell service then the photos will be queued up and sent to your guests once the booth is moved into a location with better service.
Do I need an attendant?
No attendant is needed, the interface is very intuitive!
If you want extra help on the day of your event, we have a nationwide network of brand ambassadors and event staff that we can include at an hourly rate.
What happens if there is an issue during the event?
We offer support via text and phone. We recommend that you test the booth as soon as you receive it, and then again before your event begins.
How long is my rental?
Rentals are for one business day. If your event falls on a Saturday or Sunday, you will receive the booth no later than Friday, and it must be returned on Monday.
What if I’m late returning the booth?
You will be charged a late fee of $149 per day.
Can I rent for longer than one business day?
Yes! Please contact us for a quote.
How far in advance should I book?
The sooner the better, but we generally recommend no later than one week before your event in order to take advantage of free ground shipping. Please contact us if you need a quicker turnaround, as we can offer warehouse pickup or expedited shipping for an additional fee.
Do you offer payment plans?
You may pay a non-refundable retainer of 25% up front, with the remainder due 30 days in advance of your event.
What happens if my event date changes?
If the booth has not shipped then you may change the date with no charge.
If the booth has already been shipped then there is no refund.
Can I use the booth outdoors?
- The booth can be used outdoors with some limitations:
- You must use the booth on a flat surface
- To avoid water damage, we recommend a canopy to protect the booth from any possible rain. The booth should never be setup near a pool or water balloon fights!
- To avoid overheating, we recommend that it be set up in the shade.
- To avoid wind knocking over the booth, we recommend you add sandbags or water weights and assign someone as an attendant to monitor the booth. Water weights are available for rent through us.
- We do not recommend our backdrops for outdoors. It is best that you work with a local event decorator for this.
Please remember that you are responsible for any damage to the booth. We have run successful events outdoors but you must take the proper precautions to avoid issues.
